It was quite a hectic week. We were activated for the Pre-Pandora Exercise on Monday; after our dinner. Fortunately, I wasn't involved cause I was selected for the ship fire fighting with those officers previously. =p
Had my Voice Procedure Test on tuesday. Think I've got a perfect score! woot! On that very same day, we had our first unofficial night training - BA Maze Exercise 2. This time it's different from our first exercise whereby we were told to crawl through the guinea-pig-like cages in smoky and dark conditions.(And we got confined for that one!! Shan't continue...>_<) Anyhow, this time, the setup was a maze (duh!?) with cages tall and large enough for us to walk with much ease. However, this time was absolute dark. "Stretch out hand cannot see your 5 fingers." (Shen shou bu jian wu zhi.) So, we tried to fully utilise our teamspirit; checking out for one another once in awhile, follow strictly to the direction we were walking etc... Finally, we managed to get out of that
We headed to Jurong Island fire station on Wednesday. It was quite a heavily polluted island. Nonetheless, the view was quite good, apart from those catalytic pipes. Sad to say I tio guard duty on Wednesday. Luckily Thursday we were having rapelling exercise. That's not that physically demanding, so I didn't have any problems with trainings that day. But was getting quite tired during the night cause we were having our E-learning. However, while we were all sound asleep, (or most people were trying to be sound asleep =x) we were asked to FALL IN!!! Because we didn't throw the cookhouse rubbish as we were in charge of doing so. Whatever...
Friday was quite a slack BTM. Played with guns! (Now who says SCDF doesn't have any guns to play with?!) We've got water mist gun(WMG) and impulse gun(IG). WMG was those normal normal type one. The recoil was close to zero. But for the IG, it's a totally different story. The recoil was so large (heard from one of the regulars who was from Army previously that the recoil is much stronger than that of the rifles used in the army.) that my wrist got a sharp aching pain when I first triggered the gun. (That's following a very loud "PANG"...resounding too! lol) Wonder what will happen if we were to trigger happy? lolx But the subsequent triggers was alright.
Thought we might be able to book our early but it didn't seem to be the case. Lots of miscellaneous work to do, scoldings etc...dragged until about 17 30 then we were able to book out. Thanks for taking so much of our night time this week...
Next week will be double the hectic...Here we go again... ...
