Ironically, I was down with flu this slacking week instead of the past few weeks where trainings were more xiong. A whole 5 days of staying in the air conditioned classroom(plus the everyday rain) really made us sick. However, this medical week was definitely fun and we learnt alot of things from there as well.(And we had lots of breaks too! lolx Think our breaks accumulated would be longer than the actual lessons duration.=p) From how to assess casualties in the incident site to treatment of the casualties who were suffering from all kinds of injuries and difficulties.
We only went for a 5km run around cemeteries on Tuesday as our sliding pole pratice was cancelled cause our practice ground at the chemical plant was being used for some field exercise. It was quite interesting exploring the different cemeteries of different religions. Explored Christians, Protestants, Muslims and Jewish ones. Have yet to explore a Bahai' Cemetery. Then, we came across a plot of lawn cemetery which looks uncannily similiar to that of a Teletubby land! Think it's meant for children. You could really feel the calmness and peacefulness there.
Nothing much to say about this week, just that we had some 'tekan' session with our self-volunteered 'casualties' by drawing graffitis on their face etc...
Due to a pack schedule next week, we can't use our nights-off for next week. And I had to do guard duty on Wednesday night, and I would have gone through our night training (BA Maze) on Tuesday. Wonder if I could survive the shortage of rest time? However, we still have our 2 nights-off in our hands(cause we had more than half of our Rota 2 guys who passed IPPT and SOC) and the good news was we might have a high chance to get a half day for Friday. Meaning we will be able to book out in the early afternoon!~ Cross our fingers! =x
