Vesak Day was out with jon and ken to army market to search for ken's backpack for his china holiday and probably his 2-year attachment to china's university.
Ate the kok-kok mee, which I think it's rather unusual compared to the normal fishball noddle but overall it's about the same, and ahballing. Don't know why is the 'tang yuan' called ahballing. lolx However, I don't think the yam is nice.
Yesterday was the last day of Term 2 for schools and it was also my last contract as a relief teacher for Term 2. The last 2 days were quite good.; not much problem. Think the only minor problem was that there were a few students who could not eat red bean and the catered food was red bean bun! Didn't their parents tell the caterer what type of food their sons were allergic to?! Anyway, I had to fork out my money to buy food for them in the canteen. Wanted to buy egg-mayo sandwich, but it was sold out, so I bought them chicken burger. Maybe this was my karma for eating too much of their catered food! xp (but isn't it wasteful if the leftover was thrown away? =])
They had a charity sale and a pot luck lunch after school. (but we didn't stay for the lunch =p) 4B sold kacang puteh going at 50c during recess. After school, there were a handful of stalls in the hall and around the old porch. There were snacks, toys, health products, female accessories, old magazines and they even sold boardgames at low prices! I bought the, in my opinion, pirated version of blokus - The Strategy Game, at the price of $10, which I think it's selling at $20-30 outside. Good buy! =)
1 more week to HK trip... ...are we ready?
