Merry X'mas to all!
It has been nearly a month since the start of the break and I can say it's a break well spent! =)
Went to watch NAC competitions...year after year the performances clearly showed who was the better one but perhaps it didn't resonate with the judges. We had a mini MSCO gathering on one of the days having dinner at shokudo. The ramen was great but the rosti I had was no better than the one I made myself! =p
Celebrated 3 birthdays this month - leslie's, xiao hui's and zhen cong's 21st birthday!
Finally able to meet up with the 4 Francis guys, and it was the largest turn out ever! We had a long dinner at cafe le caire, introduced by Ms. Jaz. We waited for a long time for the food to be served. That was why we had dinner from 19 30 till 23 00+! It was more like a buffet than a proper course meal.
Performed for the beautiful sunday at esplanade. After 2-3 days of practices and it's on-stage already! Since the alumni were only involved in the first item, we became audiences straight after that. lolx
Took my TP and failed it... ...
Watched Yes Man on a Thursday night with ah hao at J8. On the way for dinner, I saw my tutee and family. Coincidentally, they were watching the same show at the same time! haha This show hit the nail at the very first scene. 8/10.
The NYCO reception was abit out of focus and purpose. No signs of activities going on other than the 'ikea cup' presentation (which was the 3rd cup I've received!), photo-taking and eating.
Had a late christmas shopping with da jie. Went to bring ah ma for lunch on the way. lol A long journey we took to buy almost all the presents. Chill-out with alicia at starbucks till the eve of christmas! xD
Watched bedtime stories on the eve and this time it wasn't as good as the previous movie but still worth watching it. The predictability of the story made it lost the punch of the humour.7/10.
Now it's left with 04S3A gathering, cousin's dinner party and '77'党 bbq overnight mayhem at jian cheng's house! =)
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year! =)

trying again
Oh no! Failed my first driving practical test! 32 points! =(
Initially the circuit was great but when it comes to the test route, points starts to accumulate. If I could break faster on amber light and there wasn't a long vehicle on the left, I would have barely passed. Shall practice more with traffic lights and breaking.
Luckily the 2nd re-test is on the week of the mid-term break... shall pass on 2nd attempt!

prison break
EXAMS ARE OVER!!!! =)
At last, freed from the 4 walls of my hostel room and the slack genes will be at work for the next 5 weeks.
Uni life isn't exactly like what our JC tutors had described. On the contrary, I got the feeling of being back to the final 17 weeks before A levels, where we mugged all day and night. In college, you can afford to have a mediocre or failing grades for promos and prelims or any other class tests as ultimately, it's the A levels result that matters. However, in university, every quiz, mid-term test and final exam counts. Even though you made it through the final exam after all the hardwork during revision week (if it really ever existed!?), you still can't run away from the poor grades which you've gotten from the previous quizzes and tests as it'll siphon a significant amount of marks overall.
Final verdict: Consistent mugging from day 1 of every semester is a must to retain and explore more knowledge so that you'll be less stress-out when it's high time.
Now back to slacking... ...=)
