1st wave

3 weeks had passed since I last blog. Can see that mid-term I tests had taken up way too much time in preparation. Including this recess week, more than half of the time were spent catching up what we were taught in week 6 and 7. Without the break, I think most of us will be lagging 1-2 weeks behind time. That's how fast paced uni life is. And I presume that's how work life is in the real world too.

That aside, recess week was well spent. Took up lots of tuition sessions and driving lessons. Also, I tried to cook the long awaited cordon bleu at my ah ma's house and some of my relatives being the testers. xD First trial was quite alright, however I should have done it with chicken thigh instead of breast meat. Next time shall try grilling it.

Watched wall.e on the first Friday night. It's hybridised with eco-education, love and comedy aspects. A movie for all ages. It's an epitome of action speaking louder than words. It also depicts how humans were blinded by all the technology and totally forgot all the surrounding nature around us until someone drags us out of our myopic lives. 8.5/10.

Friday, we celebrated lim's 21st birthday by having a dinner at pasta de waraku. The food quality was great, but quantity wasn't comparable. Dine there if you won 4-D or don't mind spending for a quality meal. 7/10. The chocolate cake with corn flakes was superb. After which, pei wen suggested to go for prawning since the night was still young. I think trying once will do unless you are going to prawn at a public area for free. It's way too absurd to spend that much cash on waiting and staring on the stick if you are not a hardcore fan of prawning. It's as if we're spending money to chill out by the pond side talking cock under the night sky.

Now recess week is over, it's back to more questions, 4 walls and a bathroom.

roasted under the blazing sun

Mid-term tests will be a 2-week long affair starting next week. Concepts are getting more complex than last month. I wonder how so many people could still find time playing games or chilling out in times like this?

The archery trials duration could be minimised without the initial 3-hour long practice session. Under the hot sun for 4-5 hours got me roasted and the guy who said guys do not need finger tabs must have metal fingers! xP
